If the conjugation of a verb follows a different pattern than usual, this verb called as an irregular verb.

In English, some endings (like -s, -ed, -ing) are added to regular verbs when the verb is in different time forms. These endings are not added to irregular verbs. It changes in different time forms. For example: look turns into looked (regular), go turns into went (irregular).
